and mounted between double stub pages, : full calf with
gilt dentelles at edges of boards, ruled and numbered
in gilt at spine, the volume of plates ONLY, published
to accompany the text volume of The Builder's Compleat
Assistant, complete with 77 double page plates of
designs by Batty Langley, including geometric figures,
numerous designs for decorative cornices, mouldings,
friezes, pediments, etc., colonades, pedestals,
columns, pillasters, capitals and keystones, examples
of flooring, scarfing joints and trussing, designs for
a variety of roofs and trusses, designs for timber
bridges (including for the New Westminster Bridge),
construction of brick and stone arches, plans and
sections for staircases, ballustrades, ornamental
features, etc., includes the three plates (53-55) not
present in the British Library copy, rubbed and bumped
at extrems., sl. loss at. tail of spine, leather
cracked through at joints (boards retained by the
cords), edges and endpapers a little grubby, endpapers
