Keep searches simple. Limit the criteria you enter (eg. just author surname and the first significant word from the title) and if too many books match then start refining your search by adding more details.
Illustrators can be searched for by using the Author field.
Keywords will match with subject areas but you will probably be more successful browsing the catalogues, which are already in subjects, rather than using this search page.
